Burning Ones

Lyrics for the song "Burning Ones" by Jesus Culture

Here inside Your presence
I'm taken by the wonder of You
Here inside Your glory
We gives our lives fully to You
(2X)

We cry Holy, Holy are You
We cry Holy, Holy are You

Your love it burns inside
Our hearts are satisfied by You
Your love is our reward
It's why we ask for more of You

Holy, Holy are You
Our hearts are burning, burning for You
We cry Holy, Holy are You
Our hearts are burning, burning for You

We are Your burning ones
We are consumed by You
We set our lives apart
We are consumed by You
(2x)

So let this light be like a fire
Let our life be like a flame
Fill our souls with Your desire
Let our passion bring you fame
(2x)

We are Your burning ones
We are consumed by You
We set our lives apart
We are consumed by You
(2x)

So let this light be like a fire
Let our life be like a flame
Fill our souls with Your desire
Let our passion bring you fame
(2x)

Such an amazing worship song. So passionate, authentic and Spirit filled. Burning ones. Something as Christians we should all desire to be. A burning one for Him, being a fire, a light in this dark world. Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:14-16 "14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." And when I listen to this song it reminds me of that light that I'm supposed to be, it reminds me of the fire that I desire to have for Jesus. The enemy tries to come in so many ways to steal our fire. Bringing distractions, issues, tries to get you take your focus off of God and on to your circumstances, or worldly possessions. I desire to be that burning one God desires me to be. We need to come to a place and let God consume every part of us, every part of our heart, of our soul, of our mind. Walking in full obedience and not letting anything come between our relationship with God, nothing quenching our fire for Him. There is a song the worship leader at my church sings (it was spontaneous worship at the time but turned into a song) and the main part of the song goes like this:

"Come and fan the flame, I don't wanna be the same let it burn, let it burn.
Rekindle the fire, wont you make this flame go higher, let it burn, let it burn."

The bible tells us that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Let's not make room for the enemy to come in and steal our fire, kill our passion, and destroy our soul. Let's continually be BURNING ONES for God. Let's continue to be a light in this dark world.

Be blessed beloved.

Worship Unto The Lord

Hello family,

Last Saturday at our youth and young adults service God really poured out His spirit into the place. The weight of His glory was so heavy, people were getting delivered from bondages and strongholds the enemy had on them, people were worshiping God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. It’s a beautiful thing to see God’s people worship and not have any cares, worries or anxieties holding them back.

In the beginning of our service we did a drama/dance to the song “Cost of Intimacy” by Jason Upton. People began to dance and really going to war and it was awesome to see people so on fire for God. After, everyone began to run to the alter and dance before the Lord, worshiping Him with every bit of their being.

Now my question to you is when you worship God, are you giving Him everything you have, or giving Him only a part of you?

God will only give you what you give Him. You will never experience God’s glory in its fullness until you come to a place of complete surrenderance to God. Letting Him consume every part of your heart.

In 2 Samuel 6:16 it says that Saul's daughter Michal saw David "leaping and whirling" before the Lord. It also says that she "despised him in her heart" and when king David explained his worship in verse 21 he says, "it was before the Lord." So when we worship and praise, we have to do it to the Lord. It's almost like there's no one in the room and your just dancing and worshiping God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. I know me personally, God has forgiven me for MUCH. In Luke 4:47 it says the woman was forgiven for many sins, so she loved Him much. So when I worship God, I remember where I used to be, so I don't hold anything back from God and enjoy the freedom and liberty that I have in Jesus Christ. And don't think you need to have some horrible testimony and had to have gone through tremendous battles growing up to have that kind of relationship with God, it's just having your own experience with Him and His love. I give him my all, coming to a point in my worship where I'm not going to let anything keep me from meeting Him. When I dance, and worship God, to others I may look “crazy” but in all reality I am. I’m crazy in love with Jesus Christ, who died for me on the cross, who bore my transgressions, who having died to sin can now live for righteousness. THANK YOU JESUS.

Now when you worship before the Lord, let go of all your insecurities and your self-consciousness. Let your worship be unto the Lord God Almighty and Him alone.

The Healing in Restoration

Hello family,

I've finally started a blog. God's amazing and I pray that those who visit my page and read the blogs will be blessed and encouraged by them.

Well, lately God's been really moving in my life, purging, pruning, chastening, correcting, revealing. A few months ago I became real distant from God, began to harden my heart toward Him because I felt that I was let down by people. Pretty much, I began to base my relationship with God on others. I felt let down by ministry, by friends and family. So I began to withdraw myself.

But thanks and glory be to God for His grace and Mercy. It truly is sufficient. I became real weary while doing good. But nevertheless, God's unconditional love and Holy Spirit was drawing me back into His presence. The Holy Spirit began to convict me of my complacency and of my self-pity "woe is me" attitude. In Romans 2:4 Paul says "the goodness of God leads you to repentance." And truly God's goodness lead me back facedown at the feet of Jesus. I am nothing without God. I know that with Him I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me and without Him I can do nothing.

So over these past couple months I been really consecrated, and God has been really speaking to me and giving me revelation. So the other day I was talking to God, praying, and I began to ask God, "God, why is it so hard sometimes, why does it hurt?" (God's really stripping me). And God began to speak back to me saying "When I'm healing you, and restoring you, it may hurt, but I only make it better."

So I'm like wow, God your so good. And I began to thank God and praise Him because I can't begin to fathom how good He is to us and we are so undeserving of His goodness.

Well, this is my first blog, I hope that it blesses everyone and encourages everyone. I will write more as time goes on. Thanks for taking the time and looking.
